When to add drainage holes Although the drainage needs of various plants are different, few people can tolerate prolonged stagnation in the water. If exposed to heavy rainfall or storms, your soil may not be able to absorb or evaporate water quickly enough.

When the pot is in a refuge, we recommend punching a drain hole. With the right tools, the process is very quick and easy. Invert the pot and find the area marked X as the recommended hole location.

Then use a drill with a drill bit or hammer and nails to make holes. This process only takes a minute or two, and then you can fill the pot with the potting soil and plants of your choice.
